How To Create A ‘Passive’ Income Stream For $1
Passive income is the big buzz word in the Internet marketing world. Everybody is obsessed with trying to find the holy grail of passive earnings – that is making money, even while you’re sleeping.
Now there are a million and one guys (and gals) out there offering to teach you the secrets of making a six figure passive income “with just a few clicks of your mouse” – all for the “rock-bottom-never-to-be-repeated price of $[insert value, usually ending in seven, here]”.
But ignore the snake oil salesmen, because I’m here to show you how you really can set up a passive income stream for just one lousy dollar. Well actually, it’s one lousy dollar for your first month, and then about $20 a month thereafter.
What’s the secret?
Email marketing using Fluttermail, which is the world’s easiest-to-use “autoresponder” service. I used to recommend Aweber, but if you’re just starting out then Fluttermail is much easier.
The formula is very simple:
1) Get your Fluttermail account here for just $1 for your first month.
2) Write a two week (10-14 email) newsletter sequence that provides niche value to your readers, but which also promotes at least two different products (with a couple of hard sell emails thrown in the mix).
3) Create a quality squeeze page using WordPress or any other site building platform. You can even use a free Blogger blog if you wish.
4) Grab your squeeze page URL.
5) Get opt-ins and leads by promoting your newsletter series in forums, on message boards, with article marketing, blog commenting, and more. Remember to always provide value to readers/potential leads if you want to do well.
6) Sit back and watch the passive income roll in.
Now I’m not claiming that this method will make you rich. However, if you work at it consistently, remembering that I’m always here to answer any questions you might have, then I honestly thing you should be able to reach at least $50 per day (on average) promoting niche Clickbank products.
The timeframe to reach that level of passive income? Realistically speaking, it will probably take you three or four months, working perhaps an hour or two a day.
You see I’m not going to hype up any method I share – I’m pretty straight shooting when it comes to what I say. However, if you put the work in here, then you will make a healthy little side income.
I mean how great would an extra $300-500 per week be for your family budget? Especially considering it will only cost you one lousy dollar to get started.

I am going to give that a try I will monitor myself for the next 5 months working at least 2 hours a day on this and will report back to you with my progress. Now my nich products have to do with hypnosis, subliminals, self development and affirmations. So I’m not to sure how that market is doing because I am just starting in the industry. I’ve got to say that my biggest chegalnle to making money in my home based business is getting enough traffic. If you have been in the Internet Marketing business for any amount of time, surely you have come to understand that traffic is king. It’s not just a saying but is actually words to live and die by. And with traffic comes the all desired list. Learning how to build a list is just as important as learning how to drive targeted traffic to your website. I’ve struggled with my list building but I understand how important a targeted email list can be to the life of an Internet Business. So what I’ve done is gone to the people who know how to build a list.
How exactly do you set up a good autoresponder sequence then? You didn’t make that clear enough sorry.

To set up a good autoresponder sequence, I highly recommend that you look to include loads of quality content into your site. Don’t fall into the trap of assaulting your list with offer after offer.
Try to do at least 5x as much content as you do promo 🙂

Thanks for the idea, I have started my first affiliate site but I hadn’t thought about promoting solely with a newsletter sequence.
As you said with a little work it could generate a nice amount of extra income.
Presuming the newsletter sequence was quality content and it was promoted well, based on your experience, what amount of daily traffic would I need to send to my squeeze page to average $50 in daily commissions (about two sales of Clickbank products per day I guess) ?
I know there are lots of variables but I’m just wondering what average figures would be?

I reckon about 50-60 visitors per day (if you’ve got good offers set up) would generate you sufficient traffic to average $50 per day.
Although that’s quite speculative!

Create a good squeeze page which will prpmot your leads to enter an email. A good squeeze page will offer a free give away after the lead has entered their email. Ensure that you convey to those who become part of your mailing list, that you’ll be sending them marketing from time to time and that they can opt out of your list whenever they feel like it. Once you have a mailing list, then you can start marketing your affiliate product to your list.
